Alphabet, Apple Enter Into AI Deal for Gemini Models

Alphabet: Alphabet, Google's parent company, announced Monday that it has entered into a deal with Apple under which the next generation of Apple Foundation Models will be based on Google's Gemini models and cloud technology.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the company said: "After careful evaluation, Apple determined that Google's AI technology provides the most capable foundation for Apple Foundation Models."

The partnership signifies a significant collaboration between two tech giants, aiming to enhance the capabilities of Apple's AI systems by leveraging Google's cutting-edge Gemini models. It further underscores the strategic importance that both companies place on advancing artificial intelligence technologies.

The announcement also highlighted that Apple Intelligence will continue to operate on Apple devices and Private Cloud Compute, ensuring that the collaboration upholds Apple's industry-leading privacy standards.
