Doha: HH Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Monday the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, who is visiting Kuwait: During the meeting, the Amir of Kuwait, Chair of the current session of the GCC Supreme Council, stressed the importance of continuing to support the Council's progress and enhancing integration efforts among its member states, in a manner that meets the aspirations of its peoples for greater security, stability, prosperity, and development.

According to Qatar News Agency, the GCC Secretary-General expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for Kuwait's sincere and continuous efforts in supporting the work of the GCC General Secretariat and strengthening the path of joint GCC action.
