Doha: The Amiri Naval Forces inaugurated the International Joint Maritime Exercise (Al Salam 1) 2024, under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah. The event also saw the presence of HE Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit. According to Qatar News Agency, naval forces from the United States, the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Italian Republic are participating in the exercise. This collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of the Amiri Naval Forces across various specialties, while also improving their combat efficiency and readiness. The opening ceremony was attended by several senior commanders and officers of the Armed Forces, marking a significant start to this international military cooperation.
