Gaza: The Israeli occupation authorities released 50 prisoners from the Gaza Strip today, Monday, who were arrested during its ongoing aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023. The occupation also released the director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, after more than 7 months of detention, along with a number of medical personnel who were arrested by the occupation from hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Abu Salmiya spoke in an interview with journalists after his release about the details of his arrest, the conditions of Israeli prisons and detention centers, and the suffering of prisoners inside them. Abu Salmiya said, "The prisoners are going through tragic conditions that the Palestinian people have not witnessed since 1948, including old and new prisoners. Everyone is suffering from physical insults and difficulties in food and drink, and the resistance must have a decisive say to release the prisoners." He added, "The old prisoners are suffering greatly, some of who m have spent more than 20 years in prison, and the prisons must be cleared of prisoners." He stressed that "the occupation is now arresting everyone, including medical personnel, and some have been martyred in Israeli prisons," noting that "the occupation has proven the extent of its criminality in its treatment of medical personnel Source: Maan News Agency
