Apple to Launch New Gemini-Powered Version of Siri

Apple: Apple announced plans to launch a new version of its voice assistant, Siri, powered by Google's Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) models, as part of a growing partnership between the two companies in the field of AI.

According to Qatar News Agency, the company stated that the anticipated update will provide advanced capabilities enabling Siri to perform more complex tasks by leveraging users' personal data and understanding on-screen content. This will enhance response accuracy and improve the user experience compared to previous versions.

It added that the new version will adopt a more natural conversational approach, similar to chatbots like ChatGPT, with the possibility of running the system via Google's cloud infrastructure, which could contribute to improved performance and faster command processing.

The new version of Siri is scheduled for release in the second half of February, amid anticipation across the technology sector over the improvements the update may bring to the performance of smart digital assistants.
