Jenin - Together - The Arab American University hosted a five-a-side football league for the vanguards of the Tubas Football Academy, bearing the league slogan 'Challenge and Resilience.' Five teams participated in the league, bearing the names of the cities of Gaza, Rafah, Al-Shuja'iya, Jabalia, and Deir Al-Balah. The league was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Harzallah, the Director of Sports Facilities, Mr. Hassan Nassif, the Director of the Academy, Mr. Omar Mahasneh, the member of the Tubas Municipality, Ms. Maha Salama, and the Chairman of the Pioneers and Scouts Authority and Team Captain Maher Salama. The match was opened with a welcome speech from the assistant president of the university, in which she indicated that the university seeks to strengthen relations with the community, and always seeks to provide all facilities for sports teams. She stressed that the university is an ancient university at the Palestinian level and even at the Arab l evel, and graduates every year generations who have become It forms a major part of Palestinian society in various fields, and thanked the municipality's role in sponsoring the activity. On behalf of the academy, Mahasneh appreciated the role of the university administration in this activity, initiative and efforts seeking to deepen the relationship with all institutions. The league was dominated by a friendly atmosphere among the players, and the Jabalia team won first place, the Deir al-Balah team took second place, and the third place was won by Rafah, the student Zaid Suleiman was awarded the title of top scorer, and the student Faris Othman was awarded the title of best goalkeeper.
