Arab League Announces Launch of National Strategy to Combat Poverty in Palestine 2023-2030

Represented by its General Secretariat, the Arab League announced the launch of the National Strategy for Combating Multidimensional Poverty in the State of Palestine 2023-2030, with the aim of reducing its poverty rate to 50 percent by 2030.

In a statement issued on Monday, Arab League's Assistant Secretary General and Head of Social Affairs Sector Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh affirmed the league's interest in the Palestinian cause in general, and the Palestinian citizens in particular, pointing out that this strategy was prepared in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development as well as all relevant ministries, in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

Dr. Abu Ghazaleh drew attention to the continuation of the Arab League's General Secretariat and all its sectors to provide forms of support and assistance to the State of Palestine, to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and enable them to remain on their land - resisting the occupation policies.
