Doha: The 115th session of the Conference of Supervisors of Palestinian Affairs in the Arab Host Countries commenced at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo on Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, participating entities include the State of Palestine, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). This three-day conference aims to address significant topics such as the situation in occupied Jerusalem City, ongoing settlements, the Apartheid Wall, the issue of Palestinian refugees, the current status of UNRWA, and recent developments in the Palestinian territories.

The conference seeks to follow up on the recommendations established during previous sessions and adopt new recommendations from the current session. These efforts are intended to strengthen joint Arab action in support of the Palestinian cause and safeguard the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

In his opening remarks, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector at the League, Ambassador Faed Mustafa, highlighted the precarious phase the Palestinian cause is currently experiencing due to continuous Israeli aggression. He expressed concerns about the escalating policies of occupation, settlement expansion, and annexation, warning that these actions could alter the realities on the ground and undermine prospects for a just and comprehensive peace.
