Manama, Hosting the 33rd Arab Summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain is a demonstration of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's commitment to supporting joint Arab action and strengthening it, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council said. He added that HM the King was a keen advocate of bolstering inter-Arab cooperation and integration as a strategic choice that serves furthering security, stability and development and fostering joint efforts to address pressing challenges, particularly the Palestinian issue. Al Saleh expressed pride in the steadfast positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain , led by HM the King, and with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which underscore its diplomatic role and endeavors to maintain regional security, cooperation, and consolidate its strategic partnerships with key ally countries. He emphasised that the 'Bahrain Summit' is an important milestone for boosting Arab partnerships a s it promotes consensual Arab visions and effective policies, to counter terrorism, end wars and threats from weapons of mass destruction, and achieve stability in the region. The Shura Chairman lauded Bahrain's initiatives, which aim to strengthen collective Arab efforts, noting the role of the legislative authority in defending the causes of the Arab nation through Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy. He also highlighted Bahrain's participation in regional and international parliamentary forums that contribute to promoting a unified position and consolidating Arab parliamentary solidarity.
