HEBRON - Ma'an - For the third consecutive day, the Israeli occupation authorities continue to impose a siege on the city of Hebron, closing the main entrances to the cities, towns and villages in the governorate with iron gates, preventing the movement of vehicles, and sometimes opening one of the entrances for a while and then closing it again. At dawn today, they arrested six citizens after storming their homes in Hebron and Halhul. Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided the city of Hebron and stormed several homes. During this, they arrested the following: Engineer Hassan Khaled Al-Qawasmeh, Ibrahim Shafiq Al-Qawasmeh, Basil Al-Qawasmeh, Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Qawasmeh, and Amir Amjad Skafi. The young man, Adi Shaker Abu Zalta, was also arrested after raiding his family's home in the city of Halhul. In a separate context, today, Thursday, the occupation authorities prevented worshipers and visitors from reaching the Ibrahimi Mosque under the pretext of Jewish holidays. Director General o f the Hebron Endowments Directorate, Ghassan Al-Rajabi, said that the closure today will be until 10 pm, when the settlers will storm the Islamic mosque to perform Talmudic religious rituals inside and outside it. He added that the occupation prevented the entry of the Awqaf employees or their access to the sanctuary, noting that for the 22nd consecutive day, the occupation authorities have prevented the dawn call to prayer from the minarets of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
