Doha: Qatar's national handball team will face Bahrain on Thursday in the final of the 22nd Asian Men's Handball Championship being held in Kuwait.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar advanced to the final after defeating Kuwait 27-26 in the semifinals, while Bahrain qualified by beating Japan 35-25.
Qatar aims to win the match and retain the continental title it has won in the previous six editions, achieving an unprecedented historical feat for Qatari handball.
The Qatari team has already secured qualification for the 2027 World Championship in Germany, marking the 11th time in its history.
Tomorrow's final will be preceded by a match for third and fourth place between Kuwait and Japan to determine the bronze medalist.
