The Qatari handball team are due to face Chinese Taipei, on Tuesday, in the final match determining the rankings from ninth to 13th in the 18th Asian Youth Handball Championship, currently held in Amman, Jordan. The tournament will run until Thursday, serving as a qualifier for the 2025 World Championship in Poland. The Qatari team are looking for a third victory after drubbing Hong Kong 46-19, and India 50-36, with one loss to China 31-36, and finished third in Group D in the group stage, where they drew their first match against Japan 25-25. However, the team lost to the Korean team 24-33 in the second match and defeated Chinese Taipei 29-26. The top four teams qualify for the 2025 World Championship.
