Kuala lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital as the Premier Partner of the 8th AFC Medical Conference, which will be held from July 21-25, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the AFC Medical Conference, first launched in 1995 in Tokyo, serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange among medical professionals, researchers, and football stakeholders. The AFC highlighted Aspetar as a FIFA and AFC Medical Centre of Excellence and a global leader in sports medicine and science. Aspetar has been a long-standing supporter of the Confederation, having collaborated on several landmark medical projects for more than 15 years.

The latest iteration of the conference will feature up to 20 experts from the Doha-based institution who will share insights into the latest research, clinical innovations, and best practices in athlete health and performance. This underscores Aspetar's commitment to advancing sports medicine and athlete care across Asia.

AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John expressed pride in welcoming Aspetar as a Premier Partner, emphasizing the continuous pursuit of the highest standards in football medicine across Asia. He acknowledged Aspetar's leadership in athlete care both within Asia and globally, extending appreciation for their steadfast support and invaluable expertise through the years.
