Mureikh: The daily Iftar table in Mureikh area sees high demand, benefiting around 700 fasting individuals each day, with an estimated total of 21,000 beneficiaries throughout the holy month of Ramadan. According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) stated that this initiative is part of its "Iftar for the Fasting" project. The program aims to provide Iftar meals to those in need, fostering the values of social solidarity and compassion within the community. Chairman of the project's committee Mohammad Yaqoub Al Ali highlighted that this effort embodies the spirit of giving during the blessed month of Ramadan. He emphasized that continuous support from benefactors helps provide thousands of meals daily. Al Ali referenced the teachings of Islam, which encourage feeding the poor and needy, highlighting the immense rewards in acts of kindness. He also indicated that the project continues to welcome contributions from benefactors, guided by Islamic teachings on the virt ues of providing food for others. He added that donors can select the regions they wish to support and participate through the project's online platform.
