Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman: The key driver for economic growth is investment

Sameer Abdulla Nass, chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), affirmed the importance of investing in human capital, as a key driver for achieving the intended economic growth and increasing the production process.

Nass pointed out in his meeting with the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Ciarán Ó Catháin, the importance of integration between the private sector and the academic institutions in supporting the development of scientific research, to meet challenges and keep pace with global developments.

The chairman highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between all national institutions in advancing development work that focuses on developing various sectors in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which defined goals for development and economic growth.

The meeting discussed the opportunities for joint cooperation, training in vocational skills and entrepreneurship, and lifelong education, to prepare graduates who are able to successfully engage in professional life, compete in the labor market and excel in scientific research.

Dr. Ó Catháin praised the role of BCCI in contributing to the growth of national economy.

The CEO emphasised interest in integration between the higher education sector and various sectors,which could be facilitated representative of the private sector, BCCI, to enhance the prospects for joint work in studies and training, and to strengthen the cooperation between higher education institutions and business sectors.
