London, The Bahrain Parliamentary Division delegation participated in workshop sessions that were organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Centre for Legislative Studies of the University of Hull on July 27-28. The delegation was led by Lina Habib Qasim, Member of the Shura Council, and Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, Member of the Council of Representatives. During its participation in the "Sixteenth Workshop of Parliamentary Scholars and Parliamentarians" at Wroxton College, the United Kingdom, the delegation reiterated Bahrain's commitment to consolidate international cooperation in all its forms, enhance the role of parliamentary diplomacy, and utilise artificial intelligence (AI) in parliamentary activities. The delegation highlighted the importance of unifying efforts towards mutual coordination with different parliaments to achieve common global objectives and boost required expertise among members of parliaments. The head of the delegation emphasised the significant role of enhancing intern ational cooperation in legislative work which would contribute to building distinguished relations between parliaments based on mutual respect and joint action. She also commended the efforts made by parliamentary and academic institutions in convening joint meetings aimed at sharing parliamentary experiences and discussing global issues to serve specialized research and studies in legislative matters.
