Manama, Bahrain Polytechnic has announced the opening of registration for its Top-Up programmes, which aim to provide a flexible path for diploma and associate diploma holders to obtain a bachelor's degree in approximately two years. Abdul Redha Dasmal, Director of Continuing Education at Bahrain Polytechnic, explained that the Top-Up programmes targets holders of a Higher National Diploma or Diploma who wish to continue their studies and graduate from one of the Bachelor's programs offered by Bahrain Polytechnic, in just two years with a preparatory semester. This is what makes the program unique, as those who wish to obtain a Bachelor's degree often back down due to the non-recognition of their previous years of study or the diploma certificate they previously obtained, and they are forced to start their studies again to obtain the required certificate. He explained that the cost of the programme is considered encouraging compared to the cost of a comprehensive study for four years or more. As for study times, flexibility has been taken into account in scheduling the courses in the Top Up programme, by placing them during the evening period and the weekend, which gives working professionals the flexibility to balance their work and academic commitments. Top Up programmes include a range of specializations, including Engineering in the following specializations: (Civil Engineering, Chemical Processing, Mechanical, and Electrical), Business Administration in the following specializations: (Human Resources Management, and Accounting), Information and Communications Technology in the following specializations: (Programming, Networks, and Information Systems), in addition to the Visual Design specialization affiliated with the College of Creative Media. Those wishing to join the Top-Up programmes, can obtain detailed information about the application process, admission requirements, and programme details on the Bahrain Polytechnic website: www.polytechnic.bh, noting that registration will be open until November 30.
