Manama, Voting for the Council of Representatives by-elections for the first constituency in Muharraq Governorate began today, with ballots cast at thirteen Bahraini diplomatic missions abroad. Voting is available to registered voters from the constituency who are currently outside Bahrain. The voting process started at the Embassy of Bahrain in Beijing at 8:00 a.m. local time, with other Bahraini diplomatic missions following suit according to their local time zones, with voting available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ensured that all necessary preparations were made, with staff at the diplomatic missions ready to facilitate and oversee the voting process. Each embassy and consulate has formed a committee, led by the head of the mission, to manage the voting and counting of ballots. These committees are also responsible for overseeing the election process today and, if necessary, during a potential runoff election on September 10. To support the election process, the Min istry of Foreign Affairs has established a 24/7 operations centre to assist citizens with any questions regarding the by-election. Source: Bahrain News Agency
