Baladna Achieves ICV Certification, Strengthening Role in Qatar’s Economic Development

Doha: Baladna Food Industries, a subsidiary of Baladna Q.P.S.C., has obtained the In-Country Value (ICV) certification from the "Tawteen" program. This national initiative aims to create local investment opportunities and enhance the added economic value within Qatar through the localization of supply chains.

According to Qatar News Agency, the company announced on Sunday that it achieved a score of 82.47 percent in the ICV certification. This score highlights the alignment of Baladna's operational policies with the objectives of the ICV program, particularly regarding domestic expenditure on local procurement, workforce training, and capital investments.

The statement also emphasized that the ICV score enhances the company's competitiveness, especially in securing government tenders. The program provides an advantage to companies with higher scores in the commercial evaluation of financial bids, thereby supporting Baladna's role as a partner in government projects and initiatives.
