Ramallah - together - the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham and Tourism and Antiquities Hani Al-Hayek discussed ways of cooperation and coordination between the two ministries in order to enhance interest in archaeological and religious sites in the public and higher education sectors, through implementing purposeful activities and events. Barham stressed that the Ministry is keen to educate students about these sites, both cognitively and ethically, which would inspire directed student activities, specialized courses and reference materials, in addition to directing school trips once they resume to these sites. In turn, Al-Hayek appreciated the interest of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in this aspect, indicating his keenness to ensure that strengthening the educational institution's relationship with sacred and archaeological sites is an integral part of students' knowledge building. During the meeting, it was agreed to develop a joint cooperation agreement, whi ch includes activities and events that reflect what was discussed in this meeting. Source: Maan News Agency
