Ramallah-Ma'an- Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham discussed in his office with the South African Ambassador to Palestine Shaun Bieneveldt ways to enhance cooperation in the field of education. Barham stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Palestine and South Africa, referring to the support provided by South Africa to the Palestinian education sector, noting the importance of further enhancing support for this sector, especially in the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing occupation aggression. The minister provided an explanation to the ambassador about the reality of schools and universities that were destroyed as a result of the aggression on Gaza, stressing the importance of restoring hope to tens of thousands of students; in these difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through. For his part, Ambassador Bieneveldt praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, indicating that his country's doors will remain open to this people, in a way that ensures strengthening their steadfastness and the continuation of bilateral relations between the two countries.
