Harare, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) military golf team won first and second place in the individual competitions for the senior category, and third place in the team competitions, in the 15th World Military Golf Championships held in Zimbabwe. This is a new record for BDF as it competed against 14 teams from different countries. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, BDF Commander-in-Chief congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, on BDF's achievement in this international championship. The player Sergeant Sultan Abdullah Al-Hakam, won the World Military Golf Championship title in the individual competitions of the 'Senior' category, winning first place and the gold medal, and player First Warrant Officer Nasser Yaqoub Saleh won second place and the silver medal in the same category, and the BDF t eam also won third place and the bronze medal at the team level.
