Manama, The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) team won third place in the International Military Pentathlon Championship held in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Nine international teams participated in the championship held during August 5-10, organised by the International Military Sports Council. On this occasion, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, congratulated the team on this achievement. He said the achievement highlighted the support provided to military teams by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, which contributed to the team's success. He expressed his hope that this accomplishment will create motivation for achieving further success in future international competitions and championships. The BDF Team won third with a total of 20,496.9 points. The German Military Team was first with 21,165.4 points, and the Austrian Military Team was second with 21,019.9 points.
