Belgium Expresses Concern Over Israeli Attacks on Syria

Belgium: Israeli Attacks on Syria Undermine Regional Stability: Belgium has expressed its deep concern over the repeated Israeli assaults on Syria, stressing that such actions heighten regional tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a post on Monday on Platform X, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the government is "deeply worried" about the ongoing Israeli airstrikes and incursions in Syria, including reports of civilian casualties in Beit Jinn in rural Damascus.

The ministry affirmed that these actions exacerbate tensions and undermine regional security and stability, stressing the need to respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

At dawn last Friday, Israeli forces carried out an attack on the town of Beit Jinn, killing 13 Syrians and injuring dozens. The forces also entered the town, arresting three Syrians. Residents confronted the Israeli troops, who responded with heavy gunfire and artillery shelling while Israeli occupation aircraft heavily patrolled the area.
