Boursa Kuwait Closes Higher With Increased Trading Activity

Doha: Boursa Kuwait closed higher on Tuesday, with its general index gaining 11.46 points, or 0.13%, to reach 8,705.54.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 471.9 million shares were traded across 26,496 cash transactions, resulting in a combined value of KWD 93.8 million, approximately $287 million. The Main Market Index saw an increase of 33.66 points, or 0.42%, reaching 8,004.12. This was achieved with 332 million shares traded in 14,473 transactions, accumulating a value of KWD 38.3 million, or around $125.2 million.

The First Market Index also saw progress, advancing 7.33 points, or 0.08%, to settle at 9,306.56. This was attributed to the trading of 139.9 million shares in 12,023 transactions, valued at KWD 55.5 million, equivalent to $181.4 million. Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index climbed 92.37 points, or 1.07%, to 8,755.38. This rise was supported by the trading of 303.9 million shares through 12,220 cash transactions, worth KWD 34.9 million, approximately $114.1 million.
