Kuwait City: The Boursa Kuwait closed its trading session today with an increase in its general index by 44.78 points, or 0.55%, to close at 8,159.63 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the session, 321.3 million shares were traded through 19,014 cash transactions, with a total value of 86.7 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 266.16 million).

The Main Market Index gained 85.06 points, or 1.23%, reaching a level of 6,991.37 points, with 106.7 million shares traded through 7,044 cash transactions, valued at 15.4 million dinars (around 47.2 million).

The Premier Market Index also rose by 36.97 points, or 0.42%, reaching 8,854.23 points, through the trading of 205.6 million shares, executed in 11,970 cash transactions, totaling 71.3 million dinars (about 218.8 million).

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index increased by 40.52 points, or 0.57%, to reach 7,181.46 points, with 90.5 million shares traded through 4,799 cash transactions, valued at 12 million dinars (approximately 36.8 million).
