According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's official visit to Iran on February 19, 2025. The visit included discussions with HE Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and ensuring regional security and stability. The talks underscored the mutual determination to improve ties for the benefit of both nations.
The Cabinet addressed various legislative items, including the Shura Council's approval of draft laws amending tourism and business event regulations. Additionally, a draft decision to reorganize the National Committee for Occupational Safety and Health was approved, aiming to align the committee's role with the Third National Development Strategy.
The Cabinet further agreed on proposals for the National Cyber Security Agency to join the Security Compliance Institute of the International Society of Automation, a memorandum of understanding between the Qatar News Agency and the Romanian National News Agency, and a letter of agreement with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. These agreements focus on international cooperation and addressing modern challenges such as artificial intelligence in the legal sphere.
The meeting concluded with a review of Qatar's participation in the UN Convention to Combat Desertification held in Riyadh, highlighting the nation's ongoing commitment to environmental issues. The Cabinet made the necessary decisions following the report.
