Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi shared insights from the discussions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet began by commending the 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2026), which was recently inaugurated by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. This event brought together a distinguished assembly of decision-makers, experts, and industry leaders from around the globe, underscoring Qatar's prominent position in the liquefied natural gas sector. The Cabinet highlighted Qatar's active involvement in promoting energy security and fostering international cooperation in this critical industry, contributing towards a more stable and prosperous global landscape.
The Cabinet also expressed appreciation for the third edition of the Web Summit Qatar 2026. Opened by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the summit attracted widespread participation and significant interest from both regional and international stakeholders. As the fastest-growing technology event in the region, it serves as a strategic platform that unites innovators, decision-makers, investors, and technology leaders worldwide. The summit supports the growth of startups and international partnerships, strengthens the digital economy, and aligns with Qatar's efforts to fulfill Qatar National Vision 2030 and advance the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030.
Following the discussions on these pivotal events, the Cabinet reviewed its agenda items and proceeded with the necessary decisions.
