Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi highlighted key discussions and decisions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet praised the successful first edition of the Doha Legal Forum, inaugurated by HE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The forum, held from January 26-27 under the theme "Emerging Trends and Future Visions," featured international participation and focused on digital transformation, cyber challenges, and the legal regulation of artificial intelligence technologies. The discussions and recommendations aimed to enhance legislative frameworks supporting investment and sustainable development, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Cabinet also congratulated HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani on his election as President of the Olympic Council of Asia, highlighting this achievement as a testament to Qatar's standing and contributions in the sports field.

Further, the Cabinet reviewed a draft law on state property, which aims to replace Law No. 10 of 1987. The draft law, prepared by the Ministry of Municipality, seeks to improve urban development and land management efficiency, aligning with Qatar's national priorities.

Additionally, the Cabinet adopted a new policy for the postal sector, developed by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in coordination with the National Planning Council. This policy aims to regulate and enhance the postal sector in line with digital transformation and national development goals.

The Cabinet also approved a draft agreement for cooperation and joint news exchange between the Qatar News Agency and the Kuwait News Agency.

Finally, the Cabinet reviewed three reports related to national values, environmental affairs, and a labor ministers' conference, making decisions to further these initiatives.
