Cairo:The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has unveiled the details of its 47th edition, which will take place from November 11 to 20.

According to Qatar News Agency, this year’s event will honor the rich history of cinema, including the restoration of classic films. This initiative underscores the festival’s commitment to preserving cinematic history and introducing classic films to new audiences.

The festival is also supporting various initiatives to develop the filmmaking industry, such as a program focused on adapting literary works into films.

First launched in 1976, the CIFF is recognized as one of the most prestigious film festivals in the Middle East and North Africa. It holds the distinction of being the only Arab and African festival with an “A” classification in the Accredited Festivals list of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
