Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) announced that the total value of treasury bills allocated for issuance this week reached OR 17.48 million.
According to Qatar News Agency, the CBO explained that the total value of the 28-day treasury bills allocated amounted to OR 13.18 million, with an average accepted price of OR 99.713 per OR 100. The lowest accepted price was OR 99.107 per OR 100, while the average discount rate was 3.74356 percent and the average yield was 3.75435 percent.
The value of treasury bills allocated with a maturity of 91 days reached OR 3.7 million, with an average accepted price of OR 99.049 and a minimum accepted price of OR 99.040 per OR 100. The average discount rate was 3.81586 percent, and the average yield was 3.85254 percent.
The statement indicated that the interest rate on repurchase agreements (repos) with the Central Bank of Oman for these bills is 4.25 percent, while the discount rate with the Central Bank on treasury bill facilities is 4.75 percent. It further explained that the value of treasury bills allocated with a maturity of 182 days reached OR 0.6 million, with an average accepted price of OR 89.250 and a minimum accepted price of OR 89.250 per OR 100. The average discount rate was 3.50962 percent, and the average yield was 3.57213 percent.
