Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan met, in Khartoum, on Tuesday, with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and ways to lend impetus to the cooperation between the two countries. General Abdel Fattah Al Burhan underscored, during the meeting, that Sudan is committed to upgrading cooperation with Ethiopia in a variety of fields, in support of the shared interests of the two countries' peoples. For his part, the Ethiopian Prime Minister highlighted that his visit to Sudan came to emphasize that Ethiopia firmly stands in solidarity with Sudan and its people, stressing that countries' problems should be solved domestically without foreign interference.
