In the first match, AC Milan secured their first win in the continental competition, overcoming Club Brugge with a 3-1 victory at the San Siro stadium in Milan. Christian Pulisic scored in the 34th minute, while Dutchman Tijjani Reijnders added two goals in the 61st and 71st minutes. Club Brugge's only goal came from Kyriani Sabbe in the 51st minute. Club Brugge played with ten men from the 40th minute after their Nigerian player Raphael Onyedika was sent off. With this win, Milan, who had lost their first two matches, raised their tally to 3 points. Club Brugge, with two losses and one win, remained with 3 points as well. In the second match, AS Monaco continued their strong start in the tournament by defeating Crvena Zvezda 5-1. Japanese pla yer Takumi Minamino scored twice in the 20th and 70th minutes, Swiss player Breel Embolo netted in the 45+4 minute, Ivorian Wilfried Singo added a goal in the 54th minute, and Magnes Akliouche completed the scoring in the 90+6 minute. Senegalese player Cherif Ndiaye scored Crvena Zvezda's only goal in the 27th minute. Monaco, with two wins and one draw, raised their tally to 7 points.
