Beijing: China said on Tuesday that it will continue to provide support to the World Health Organization (WHO) in carrying out its duties, saying that its role should be strengthened rather than weakened.
According to Qatar News Agency, this statement was made by Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian in response to a question regarding the executive order signed by US President Donald Trump to withdraw the US from WHO. Zhao emphasized the importance of WHO as a trusted international organization dedicated to global public health, highlighting its crucial coordination role in addressing global health issues.
