China, France Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation

Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Thursday with his French counterpart, Jean-No«l Barrot, who is currently visiting China, enhancing bilateral cooperation. The two ministers also discussed relations between China and the European Union (EU).

According to Qatar News Agency, the Chinese Foreign Minister noted that cooperation between his country and the EU outweighs competition, and that consensus surpasses differences. He stressed the existence of many favorable conditions for further strengthening relations between the two sides.

For his part, Barrot affirmed that France supports dialogue between the EU and China to resolve their trade differences.
