China launched Friday its first reusable experimental satellite, named Shijian-19, into space using a Long March-2D carrier rocket for the launch. The rocket took off at 6:30 pm (Beijing time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported. It pointed out that the Shijian-19 satellite has achieved a number of pioneering technological achievements, and will greatly enhance the technical level and application efficiency of China's reusable satellites.
