Doha: China's cross-border e-commerce exports reached a record high in 2024. The annual e-commerce export volume exceeded 2 trillion yuan (about $278.59 billion) for the first time.
According to Qatar News Agency, a statement by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) indicated that the sector's exports grew 16.9 percent year on year, reaching 2.15 trillion yuan in 2024. The total cross-border trade volume hit 2.71 trillion yuan.
The statement further highlighted that consumer goods dominate trade flows, representing 97.5 percent of China's total cross-border e-commerce exports in 2024.
