Beijing: Chinese factory activity contracted for the eighth consecutive month in November.
According to Qatar News Agency, a survey by China's National Bureau of Statistics revealed that the official Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector rose slightly to 49.2 points in November from 49.0 in October, remaining below the 50-point threshold that separates growth from contraction.
Data also showed that the PMI for the non-manufacturing sector fell to 49.5 in November, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous month.
