Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed on Thursday with Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim the bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields. During their meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting comes within the framework of the Malaysian Prime Minister's current visit to China. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and technology, which are seen as pivotal to the growth of both nations. The discussions also touched upon the Belt and Road Initiative and its potential benefits for Malaysia, as well as efforts to maintain stability in the South China Sea. The leaders reiterated their commitment to work collaboratively on these and other pressing issues to foster a strong and mutually beneficial partnership.
