Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Friday, during a meeting with his Canadian counterpart, Anita Anand, who is currently visiting China, ways to strengthen relations between the two countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Minister called for exploring and capitalizing on the potential for cooperation in various fields, and expanding and strengthening communication and cooperation in a number of areas. He stressed the need to work together to support multilateralism, protect the international economic and trade order, and advance Sino-Canadian relations toward a path of sound, stable, and sustainable development as soon as possible.
For her part, the Canadian Foreign Minister affirmed her country's readiness to enhance high-level exchanges with China and deepen mutual trust, noting the need to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, agriculture, tourism, energy, and cultural exchange.
