Colonists Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Jewish “Purim” Holiday

Jerusalem: Colonists stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, coinciding with the so-called Jewish "Purim" holiday.

According to Qatar News Agency, dozens of colonists entered Al-Aqsa in groups, conducted provocative tours in its courtyard, and performed Talmudic rituals.

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs indicated that the colonists were under police protection during their incursion into Al-Aqsa. They received explanations about the alleged temple and performed religious rituals in front of the Dome of the Rock before withdrawing from the courtyards towards Bab Al-Silsila.

The so-called "Temple" organizations and colonist groups have been exploiting Jewish holidays to intensify their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, performing Talmudic rituals in what are described as flagrant violations of the mosque's sanctity.

As colonists entered Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli occupation forces imposed strict measures on worshipers' entry, increasing their military presence at the gates. They also continued their policy of expelling male and female worshipers, as well as prominent figures from Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and the 1948 territories, with the aim of emptying the mosque.

The raids by colonists have been ongoing since the start of Ramadan, with the occupation police regulating these incursions between 7:00 and 11:00 in the morning.
