Conclusion of 3rd Round of 2026 Arab Drag Racing Championship

Doha: The third round of the 2026 Arab Drag Racing Championship concluded after two days of competition, organized by the Qatar Racing Club, with the participation of 170 competitors across 11 championship categories.

According to Qatar News Agency, results of the round were as follows: In the INDEX categories for cars competing over the quarter-mile distance, Majed Al Sharshani reached the final race of the INDEX 9.0 category and claimed his first title after defeating Mohammed Al Thuwaini, who secured his second podium finish of the championship after placing third in the opening round. Mohammed Al Ansari made his first podium appearance of the season in this category, finishing third.

The final race of the INDEX 8.50 category saw a strong contest between Yousef Al Faraj and Khaled Humaidan, with Al Faraj emerging victorious, while Humaidan finished second. Yousef Ali claimed third place, marking his first podium finish of the season.

In the INDEX categories competing over the eighth-mile distance, new champions emerged in all categories except INDEX 4.0, where Tariq Al Bastaki secured his second consecutive title after defeating Rashid Al Balushi, the opening round winner. Hussain Abdulrahim Ahmed finished third, recording his third consecutive podium this season.

In the INDEX 4.50 category, Saeed Al Balushi reached the final for the third consecutive round and claimed his first title in the category after overcoming Hassan Ashkanani, while Ahmed Al Dhafeeri secured his first podium finish of the championship in third place.

The INDEX 4.80 category produced an entirely new podium, with Sean Langdon finishing first, Batti Al Ali second, and Mohammed Al Furaih third.

In the Pro Mod category, J.R. Gray, the 2025 NHRA Pro Mod champion, reached the final and defeated Rashid Al Balushi, who repeated his runner-up finish from the previous round, to claim his first title of the season. Meanwhile, two-time round winner Mike Stavrinos settled for third place.

In the Super Street Pro category, Jaber Al Maghrabi reached the final for the third consecutive round and secured his first championship title after defeating Nabil Al Issa, who made his first appearance of the season. Sayed Hussein Al Haddad finished third.

Mustafa Atat remained the only competitor to achieve a perfect record, claiming his third consecutive title in the Super Street Outlaw category. Second place was withheld, while Mohammed Aidi finished third to record his first podium of the season.

The final race in the top motorcycle category featured Mishaal Al Sabr and Christopher Garner. Garner emerged victorious to claim his first title of the season, while Al Sabr finished second for the second consecutive round. Mohammed Al Awad, the previous round winner, placed third.

In the Super Street Bike category, a new winner was crowned for the third consecutive round, as Badr bin Aidan claimed the title after defeating Mishari Al Turki, the opening round champion. Yaqout Al Awad finished third.

Meanwhile, Mustafa Mahmoudi, the previous round winner in the Street Bike category, secured his second title of the season after defeating Mohammed Al Salem, the opening round champion, who finished second. Dawood Al Sharshani placed third, repeating his result from the previous round.

At the conclusion of the competition, Sheikh Jabr bin Khalid Al Thani, Director General of the Qatar Racing Club, crowned the top three finishers in each category during the awards ceremony, held amid a strong public turnout.
