Doha: The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) issued a notice of a technical issue in the CrowdStrike software update that may affect the electronic systems of the institutions that use it. The authority called on all users to avoid making any software updates or downloads until the problem is resolved. The Communications Regulatory Authority confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation and will report any developments as soon as they become available in this regard. The world was shocked Friday morning as a global technical issue caused major outages in institutions around the world, most notably airlines, telecommunications companies, media outlets, banks, and major trading markets in many countries.
