Death Toll from Israeli Offensive on Lebanon Rises 2,496

Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced today that the death toll from the Israeli aggression against the country since March 2 has risen to 2,496, with 7,719 wounded.

According to Qatar News Agency, the country's national news agency reported three Israeli strikes targeting the town of Kounin in southern Lebanon's Bint Jbeil District. The continuous attacks have resulted in significant casualties and heightened tensions in the region.

The Israeli army continues its attacks on southern Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire that began on April 16 for ten days and was extended last night for three weeks. Despite the ceasefire agreement, the recent strikes indicate ongoing hostilities and a fragile peace in the area.
