Death Toll from SDF Attacks on Aleppo Residential Neighborhoods Soars to 23, with 104 Wounded

Aleppo: The death toll from recent attacks on residential neighborhoods by the SDF has risen to 23, with 104 others injured between Tuesday and Saturday, said Munir Al Mohammad, Media Director of the Aleppo Health Directorate.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Mohammad indicated that among the victims were a child, four women, and a dental student who was shot by a sniper, adding that most of the injured were women and children, with several cases in critical condition and at risk of death.

Earlier, four civilians were wounded after the SDF targeted residential neighborhoods with loitering drones, including the vicinity of a mosque in Bustan Al Qasr, Aleppo city.

Meanwhile, the SDF reportedly struck the Aleppo Governorate building with a drone while Syrian Minister of Information Dr. Hamza Al Mustafa was holding a press conference with Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Aboud Kabawat.

For its part, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the government had conducted a limited security operation in Aleppo neighborhoods, including Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah, as part of its commitment to the rule of law and principles of non-discrimination.

The ministry stressed that the objective was to protect civilians and restore public order, emphasizing that the intervention is no longer a military campaign and does not target any social component other than armed groups operating outside the agreed frameworks.
