Department of Meteorology Issues Warning of Poor Visibility Conditions

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 am on Saturday is expected to be humid and will become hazy to misty or foggy in certain areas later, as reported by the Department of Meteorology. The department's daily weather report has issued a warning regarding poor horizontal visibility in some locations as the night progresses.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also be hazy with scattered clouds and mist developing later in the night. The report highlights that inshore winds will vary from northeasterly to southeasterly at speeds of 05 to 10 knots, becoming variable at less than 05 knots by late night. Offshore winds will maintain a speed of 05 to 15 knots from the same directions.

The sea state is expected to range from 1 to 3 feet inshore, while offshore conditions will see sea states ranging from 2 to 4 feet. Visibility forecasts indicate that inshore visibility will vary between 04 to 09 kilometers, potentially reducing to 02 kilometers or less in some areas later. Offshore visibility is predicted to be between 03 to 08 kilometers.
