Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for the weather conditions expected until 6:00 am on Monday. The inshore weather will be characterized by dusty conditions, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain in some areas. The department has cautioned about strong winds and poor horizontal visibility in certain locations.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are also expected to be challenging, with dusty and cloudy weather, partly cloudy intervals, and a possibility of scattered rain, which may be thundery initially. The wind inshore is forecasted to be northwesterly, blowing at speeds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts reaching up to 33 knots at times. Offshore winds will be northwesterly as well, with speeds ranging from 20 to 30 knots and gusts potentially reaching 37 knots.
The sea state is predicted to be moderate to rough, with inshore waves between 3 to 5 feet. Offshore, the waves are expected to reach 6 to 10 feet, surging to 12 feet at times. Visibility inshore is projected to be between 4 to 9 kilometers, possibly reducing to as low as 2 kilometers in some areas, while offshore visibility may decrease from 5 to 9 kilometers to as low as 3 kilometers at times.
