Cairo, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, has affirmed that Bahrainis working or studying abroad are the kingdom's best ambassadors, as they project to the world its authentic Arab and Islamic identity, honourable history and prosperous future laden with landmark achievements, under the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He asserted that Bahrainis' determination and strong will are the secret of their distinction and the motive behind their keenness to serve their homeland and honour it at various gatherings, where they usually leave a positive impact, and showcase Bahrain's authentic values based on tolerance, coexistence, respect and openness to others. The Deputy Prime Minister made the statements during the reception and dinner banquet he had hosted in honour of Bahraini workers and students in Egypt, on the occasion of h is visit to Cairo. Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, and Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, the kingdom's Ambassador to Egypt, and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, in addition to several members of the Representatives and Shura councils, attended. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla saluted all Bahrainis who are working or studying abroad in order to contribute to the kingdom's progress, based on the government's utmost interest in developing the citizens' skills and capabilities, as well as encouraging them to work hard and increase their academic achievements. "Civilised and developed countries progress thanks to the dedicated efforts of their loyal citizens. They are their real wealth and assets, so they receive all forms of care and support in a way that preserves their dignity and protects their rights so as to always be good citizens who contribute effectiv ely to their societies," the Deputy Premier said. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla urged Bahraini citizens who are working or studying in Egypt to continue their dedicated work, and always give priority to national interests, which will help them achieve their personal and professional goals. Bahraini workers and students in Egypt expressed their pride in meeting the Deputy Prime Minister, valuing highly his kind initiative that embodies his keenness to be assured about them, and provide an opportunity for them to meet and exchange experiences within a national atmosphere. They expressed their congratulations to Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla for being conferred with the Development Pioneers Medal, awarded by the Arab Parliament to distinguished non-parliamentarians, as the first Arab official to receive this honour, in recognition of his contributions and valuable initiatives in the field of development at the national and Arab levels.
