Digital Platforms to Enhance Qatar’s Legal Framework and Investment Climate

Accra:Al Suwaidi The launch of the Ministry of Justice’s new digital legal platforms is set to strengthen Qatar’s legal framework, enhance legal services, and improve the investment climate. This initiative aligns with the Third National Development Plan and supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, emphasized the strategic significance of the new Official Gazette website and the Qatari legal portal Al Meezan. These platforms are part of an integrated national system for legal knowledge, supporting Qatar’s digital transformation goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.

Al Suwaidi explained that the project, part of the Ministry’s 2025-2030 strategic plan, goes beyond serving as electronic publishing tools. Instead, it establishes a comprehensive digital legal ecosystem offering access to legislation, judicial rulings, legal opinions, and agreements within an integrated knowledge framework.

The new Official Gazette website aims to strengthen the authority of legislative texts and improve accessibility. Meanwhile, Al Meezan provides comprehensive legal information, enabling users to seamlessly navigate from legal texts to their context and applications.

In addition, Al Suwaidi highlighted that the digital legal system would enhance the efficiency of the legislative and regulatory environment, increasing legal certainty, transparency, and the ease of doing business. This is expected to boost investor confidence and attract high-quality investments to Qatar.

He also expressed hope that the digital system would integrate legal knowledge into the State’s broader digital ecosystem, establish a national model for institutional integration among legal and judicial bodies, and deliver more accessible, transparent, and efficient services.
