Doha: Al Duhail secured an 8-1 victory over Al Arabi on Saturday at Al Thumama Stadium in the fifth round of the Doha Bank Stars League. Their second win of the league took Al Duhail's tally to seven points, while Al Arabi stood on four points after their third loss.
According to Qatar News Agency, the goals for Al Duhail came from Krzysztof Piatek in the third minute and an own goal by Al Hashmi Al Hussain in the 26th minute. Sultan Al Brake scored in the 34th minute, followed by Luis Alberto, who netted goals in the 38th and 60th minutes. Adil Boulbina scored in the 51st minute and a penalty in the 68th, with Benjamin Bourigeaud adding another penalty goal in the 78th minute. Al Arabi's sole goal was scored by Pablo Sarabia in the 23rd minute.
Al Arabi's situation worsened when Keddari received a red card in the 66th minute after a second yellow. The Red Knights began the scoring with a header from Piatek off an Al Brake cross. Sarabia managed to equalize for Al Arabi with a second attempt against defenders. Al Hussain conceded an own goal, giving Al Duhail the lead at 2-1, after which they continued their scoring spree.
Al Brake contributed with a long-range third goal, while Boulbina demonstrated skill with a flick over the goalkeeper for the team's fifth goal. Piatek missed a penalty strike in the ninth minute, shooting wide, and later hit the top left post in the 41st minute.
